Usage, example, and limits
Usage
- Paste SQL and select the closest database dialect.
- Choose keyword case, indentation, and related formatting options.
- After copying, verify dialect, placeholders, and the execution plan in the database client.
Limits
- Database engines differ in functions, quoting, and parameter syntax.
- A formatter is not a full validator and cannot identify slow queries.
- Production SQL still requires permission, parameterization, and execution-plan review.
Example
- Input
select id,name from users where active=1 order by id desc- Output
SELECT id, name FROM users WHERE active = 1 ORDER BY id DESC
Formatting improves readability but does not validate tables, columns, or business conditions.
Data handling
Input and results are processed only in the current browser tab. KitOtter does not upload, store, or analyze them to complete this task.
