URL Encoder and Decoder
Encode and decode URLs and query parameters with percent-encoding validation.
Enter text, then select Encode or Decode
Usage, example, and limits
Usage
- Enter the complete text or parameter value to process.
- Choose encode or decode and avoid encoding an already encoded value twice.
- After reinserting the result, confirm that ?, &, =, and # still serve the intended structural role.
Limits
- Encode parameter values rather than the entire URL in most cases.
- A plus sign can mean a space in form encoding but remain literal in other URL components.
- Repeatedly decoding untrusted input can reveal reserved characters and requires validation.
Example
- Input
你好- Output
%E4%BD%A0%E5%A5%BD
The example percent-encodes the UTF-8 bytes.
Data handling
Input and results are processed only in the current browser tab. KitOtter does not upload, store, or analyze them to complete this task.
